  5. On April 12, 1993 Apple officially introduced the Performa 405, 430 and 450.
  6. These new products are being shipped in a new "One Box Solution" that includes:
  7. CPU, keyboard, monitor, modem, etc.
  8.  
  9. The Performa 200, 400, 600 and 600 CD, introduced last September, will remain
  10. in the Performa product line unchanged.

  12. PRODUCT OVERVIEW
  13.  
  14. -Performa 405
  15.  Is an entry-level color computer and is based on the same hardware
  16.  architecture as the Macintosh LC II and the Performa 400; however, a
  17.  Performa Display, fax/modem, and application software are included.

  20.  68030 Processor running at 16 MHz
  21.  80 MB Hard Drive
  22.  4 MB of RAM, expandable to 10 MB
  23.  Teleport Fax/Modem by Global Village Communications
  24.  14" Performa Display, (.39mm Dot Pitch)
  25.  Built-in video supports 16 colors and is expandable 256
  26.  One expansion slot

  30.  Offers more color and storage capabilities than the Performa 405 because it
  31.  comes with more VRAM and larger hard drive.  It is based on the same
  32.  hardware architecture as the Macintosh LC II, and the Performa 400; however,
  33.  it comes with a Performa Display, fax/modem and application software.

  61. All the new Performa models ship with System Software version 7.1P which

  64.  -At Ease for protecting your files while sharing your Performa
  65.  -Macintosh PC Exchange for using MS/DOS/Windows files.
  66.  -Quicktime for creating and playing digitized video, when combined with
  67.   application software.

  154. Customers can call 1-800-SOS-APPL for toll free up and running support.  The
  155. User Assistance Center will also be providing support on the Teleport
  156. Fax/Modem.

  158. Support on 3rd party applications will be provided by the manufacturer.

  160. Service
  161. -In-home service: The Performa 405, 430 and 450 comes with one-year of in home
  162. service.
  163. -Carry-in service: Available on an exception basis only.
  164. -Mail-in service: Available on selected Performa peripherals only.

  166. Service on the Teleport Fax/Modem will be provided by Global Village
  167. Communications.
